What to Expect at Family Chiropractic Center

Your First Visit

You will immediately feel at home the moment you walk in the door.

Welcome to Family Chiropractic Center! Our friendly staff will greet you, get acquainted with you and then help you take care of paperwork.

Once the paperwork is completed, we’ll record your height and weight and then bring you to the exam room. This is where you will meet Dr. Hirschy for your consultation and examination.

Here’s what you can expect at this time:

• We’ll review your health history including any medications or supplements you’re currently taking
• A discussion about your diet and lifestyle
• Detailed conversation about the concerns that brought you in to see us
• Answers to any questions you might have
• X-rays (if necessary)
• Orthopedic and neurological testing
• Range of motion testing

After the consultation and exam, if X-rays were taken, we’ll review them with you and discuss what we found. In most cases you will be adjusted on your first visit, with a technique that best fits your unique health needs.

Your Next Visit

This visit is when we’ll develop your plan of care for your most thorough healing. Usually, Dr. Hirschy will do a two-week treatment plan and then re-evaluate your healing until you’re pain free and functional.

Physiotherapy. Sometimes physiotherapy (cold laser, muscle stimulation and more) will be embraced to enhance your healing. Depending on your condition, we might suggest additional modalities to help.

Dr. Hirschy will also provide exercises for you do at home and changes you can make to your lifestyle that will help enhance your healing and your life.
